When my wife saw this picture .....
« on: November 21, 2014, 08:37:21 AM »

She said "you need a play Jeep so you don't ruin your driver"   //SLAMIN//

This is the same woman that when after I was without a Harley for 2 years, and was looking to get another one this summer but told her I was going to wait until winter to buy it, she said "just buy it now so you can enjoy it this summer".

She's a keeper!  Mine said to me yesterday, " ya wanna go wheeling this weekend?"

Wife is a keeper!

As for the 'play Jeep' comment, I share her opinion.  I'm continually amazed at members here with late model JK daily drivers starting expensive builds on expensive vehicles when they will then need to be overly cautious when on rides.  In my opinion wheeling a vehicle on which you owe money to the bank is a bad idea.

Only 3 things my wife says about the Jeep

 1) You have ruined it
 2) what else can you do to make it look stupid.
 3) you know thats half mine

^^^funny!

Mine goes back and forth on her thoughts of the jeep. Some days she tells me to keep buying stuff, other times not so much.

I am building a later model jk, but didn't plan on getting this far deep when I started. I don't feel that I am too conservative on the trails, but I also am trying to build it strong enough to handle the abuse

CannonballKev - you have a keeper yourself

Kirk - I agree to a point.  In a few years when mine is paid off, it will be my toy.  Until then, it puts a smile on my face every time I get in it to drive some place.  I am more cautious on the trails since it's my DD, but I still have a blast.  It would completely ruin my day if I roll it, but other than that, things can be fixed.  The banks owns part of it only because at 1.7%, I'll keep my money working for me and use theirs.   //cheers2//

Kevin - that is  //LMAO// .  My wife used to think lifted Jeeps looked awful and rednecky, but now she looks at a stock Jeep and comments on how wimpy it looks.

My wife had to drive the jeep sometime ago because something was in the shop and she came home and said I don't like the Jeep anymore. Why I asked. It rides rough, it's loud and hard to drive. I said good, then you won't want to drive it anymore  //LMAO// I do enjoy having my sub to drive everyday though. No way I would want to drive the jeep everyday. But all of my vehicles are paid for so makes it that much better.

She's a keeper Mike.

My wife is currently on a crusade to make me get rid of my DD Nissan Leaf and get something I can "tow the broken jeep home in".  Cracks me up...she is also right.

I tried to talk mine into getting an excursion for her DD so I could use it for the trips. Hopefully getting a crappy civic soon for my commute.
