Wheeling in Great Lakes area?

So I am working in Chicago this summer and am wondering if anyone has any recommendations on clubs or where to wheel up here? I am planning a trip to Silver Lake sand dunes with some buddies from Ann Arbor, and have been looking into a Badlands trip in Indiana. Other than that I'm not really sure. I have read about a few places but they either seem to be just a bunch of mud, or private land. Thanks for any suggestions!
