35 years registered voter in GA and I've never been summoned.

likewise

been a registered voter in this state for 29 years.  almost 20 in the same county...never even received a summons in the mail much less picked to serve on a jury.

other people I know seem to get summoned every other year

Damn what a hottie setting 2 seats down from me in jury waiting room

Speaking of this,  when I'm on Facebook and look at the "People You May Know" section,  if there is a hottie I usually look.  Recently, it'll be a Hottie with 1 Friend.  9/10 times that Friend is Kevin.

I guess, Thank you? :)

And we just found out where he's meeting them

I've lived here 17 years and been summoned 4 times. Fortunately, never seated on a jury.

I have heard that definitive statements can lead to you being selected because at least they know where you stand, which they can work with.  Being a mystery scares both sides since they don't know what you'll do.

I assume my transgressions as a youth have kept them from summoning me...IDK, but I'm fine with not performing this civic duty.

A co-worker just finished a felony murder trial in Forsyth...guilty!

first time summoned it was for the grand jury. Three days every other week for three months. Very interesting cases and an overall great experience in the legal system.

Got out at 7pm......still questioning jurors in the morning.
Guy beside me during individual questions said he was mad
as hell, tired, and hungry and this was a waste of time....
Judge excused him right then...
