Tires
« on: February 26, 2017, 09:14:34 PM »
Hey guys,
Anybody ever run Thunderer Trac Grip mud tires on their rigs? I am trying to figure out what tires that I want to go with on my Xterra, but I have already shelled out over $4000 in parts so far, so I am trying to save a little on the tires and still get good grip on the trails.

285/75/16 and I would like to stay around $1000 for all 5 if possible.

I've learned that it is better to spend more for
good name brand and have them last longer.

Keep your eyes open for used ones on other forums.  Hardline Crawlers, and Pirate4x4 have deals pop up frequently.

Probably not the best deal and the wrong size, but I bet he'd take 200:  https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Ehardlinecrawlers%2Ecom%2Fforums%2Findex%2Ephp%3Ftopic%3D55145%2E0&share_tid=55145&share_fid=32116&share_type=t

Thanks for the feedback guys. I like the cooper tires. I would really like to get the maxxis trepador but I can't find them anywhere in the 285/75/16, I have only seen them in 33x12.50/15 which means I would have to change my rims as well and the wife might lock me out of the house if I tell her I'm buying rims too!!!

That's pretty good.  I have the non-Pro Cooper STTs on my Jeep and they've been great for the trails I run.  Have over 30k miles on them and they still look good.

Another worth considering is the Toyo MT. A bit expensive but can perform well in the mud.
