I'm outside enjoying the nice weather. I have 2 of the stickies dismounted from the old steel wheels. What a bitch. I'm like 2.5 hours in.
Be careful...can be dangerous work depending on your method.  I know @jc79 nearly lost his eye, once.

Finally done dismounting them!!!!
Now to celebrate with the first beer of the evening (I had 3 for breakfast).
All that's left is dismounting the 43s & putting on the reds.

I'm all but done.

I broke the beads by putting the Hi Lift foot on the bead & jacking up the front of the Jeep.

Yup, that's exactly how Jared risked his life, IIRC.

As the hi lift handle came up and hit my face I was thinking to myself “.... careful, easy does it...” and it still happened.

I got back Monday from a week in India followed by 2 weeks in Japan.  Things in India were normal, as there were no cases there yet, and even Italy was at the start of its crisis.  I did have my temperature checked on arrival at Mumbai airport, and anyone who had visited China was excluded from entry.

When I got to Japan, I found that closing of museums and tourist spots had started the previous day (Feb. 29).  Lots of Japanese in public were wearing masks, and almost all hotel employees were as well.  Restaurants and nightlife went on as normal the entire two weeks I was there.  Other than hotel and restaurants, I mainly visited temples and public parks, where it was easy to remain at a distance from others.  Doing so in restaurants wasn't possible, but I did remain careful on hand washing and face-touching.

My return flight via Houston was almost empty, 50 people in a 777.  IAH was a ghost town.  Even scored an upgrade on Delta for the Houston Atlanta leg as a lowly Silver.

No symptoms here, but we're excluding our daughters from visiting for another week, and other than grocery shopping I'm staying home.  Went to give blood and was told India visit excludes donations for a full year.

Word.

Hi-Lift : the one thing you don't want to deal with when ya have it but the very thing you'd like to have more than anything the very moment you don't have one.

yikes, Jared!

Thanks - hanging in there. Better than yesterday today in some ways and worse than other. I’m leaning towards this is just a really bad case of the flu based on the symptoms. I’ve finally kicked the fever but have traded it for a throat full of razor blades and swollen/sore lymph nodes
