I heard a good one the other day, Trump wanted to tank the economy and drive down interest rates so he could buy down his debt on his properties in case he doesn’t get a second term

I think he's trying to bankrupt the country, just like he does all of his businesses.

I'm pretty sure Brian Kemp is cheating wrt COVID19.

The Georgia Health Department's total confirmed case numbers are very close to the John Hopkins numbers on a daily basis, but the confirmations per day since the stay at home order was lifted are hardly increasing.  You might wonder how that is possible.  What they're doing is increasing the counts on days prior to lifting the stay at home order!

I chose a random date to monitor daily to see what was going on.  My date was April 17 th.  Look at how the number of confirmed cases on that date keep increasing, and how few of cases have happened in the last week.

On May 4th, the April 17th count was  21327

This morning the April 17th count was  21345

A few minutes ago it was 21364

Reminds me of global warming.

Serious question: is this increase due to the confirmation of positive tests that were performed on that day?

Yes, this is due to the older tests taking longer to get results. For example. Tests given on April 1st May have taken 3 weeks to get a result, whereas tests given in April 14 only took 2 weeks to get a result, and tests given April 28 only took a few days to get results. There was a bit of a back log for a while, but they also had a dump of nearly 3,000 test results that for some reason didn’t get reported out of a hospital in Augusta(not test from Augusta, just lab results that were processed in Augusta)

yesterday would mark a 23 day period, and yesterday the "April 17" value had some added...and now is 21427.
