Hmm.. I'd rather do the real thing.  Or rather, I'd like to be able to do the real thing.

Its cool for a little while then parts break and it gets expensive just like the real thing. Its easy to tie up 500-600 in parts. They even have superchargers for them.

Yeah RC is fun, I use to wheel a RC Baja Buggy and then I got into RC airplanes years ago. After a long time away from the hobby I've bought a RC airplane to fly again since there is a field not far from where I live and I figured it might be something fun to do in between trail rides. It is of course just another money pit but I figure you can't take it with you.

...you can't take it with you.

Too true.  There can't be a hobby that doesn't require a pretty hefty amount of money, by the end of it.

They're pretty fun, cheaper than 1:1 scale, and good to play with while you're rig is down.

Yeah, I actually got into racing back in...here it comes...1987...I had the original R/C-10. I got bored the other day when I got back and during one of many sleepless, insomnia stricken nights, I started reading the RC thread on Pirate. I was looking at the Axial Rock Wraith or the SCX10 Honcho. Basic build.
