Hey Jon,
I was about 25 miles N of you at Lake Burton on Wildcat Creek and also took Charles Creek road from 76 to Tallulah river. Charles Creek was a blast. I was hoping to go from Wildcat Creek to Tray mountain but the road was blocked just before the AT.  My fuel pumps started vapor locking on the way down Wildcat so I headed to home plate at Hiawassee.
Thanks for the offer, I'll keep you in mind when something breaks up there.

Man I wish you would have said something, me and Rockinwrangler were out doing trails from sunday til wednesday, we did Amicalola, Charlies Creek, Sandy Ford, and few others that I won't name (top secret). Whats the info on your truck? I'm building a 78 short bed with 44-8 lug, 14 bolt, sm465, 205, and a 350.

Andy, and you to Mike, can't find that impromptu ride thread.  My Tahoe can make those trails.       Grin

My favorite trail is the lift rack!

It's a 75/84/2000 K10 that I've had for several years.  It had a 400 in it when I lent it to my son about 2 years ago.  He called me about 4 months later to go get it where it broke down.  I went and limped it home then decided to do an oil change.  One thing led to another and it was down to the frame.
I replaced the 75 frame because of a little bend I put in it about 10 years before.  The 400 was worn out so I dropped a GM crate engine in and painted everything else.  It has a TH350/NP203/12 bolt/Dana 44. I want to replace the axles with a 14 bolt and D44 with 4.10s or 4.56s.  The 3.07s are a bit high for 35s.  Just need to find a set in 6 lug.

Ha ha, my gas tank leaks, I gotta get a new one. I need a bumper like that to. Are those 10 inch wide wheels?

Yep, 10 inch wheels.  Didn't know the difference in axle width until I mounted them. Looks kinda weird.  It took several months of watching Craigslist before I ran across the winch and bumper.
