to the OP... if it doesnt fit then it looks like a good excuse for bumpers and a winch!

Thanks for the input guys.  I just sold my cherokee so I have a nice wad of cash I plan on dumping into the JK.  Gears are in the budget right away.  I am reading into trussing and gusseting and sleeving right now.  I am thinking about taking it to Allsouth or somewhere to truss and gusset when they do the gears.

Hey Tony, can you give me details on what you did to your axles?

I have a RK 3.5" X factor lift and RK 2.0 Emulsion shocks on the way.

I just can't stand the thought having to sit back and watch Livingston try something that I can't try becuase of my tires!  It's eating me up and giving me a headache too!  I've been wheeling for about 4 years now and I kind of want to be a big dawg on the trail rides ya know?  AHHHHH what to do!!
Seth
I had the TeraFlex upper C gussets welded on to the front C-Yokes.  From what I've read the C-Yokes on the JK is a weak spot and can bend with the weight of 35"(or bigger) tires, even just DDing.  I did not do the lower C gusset, that seemed to be something more necessary with 40's.

I elected not to sleeve the axles at this time, I figured this would be something I may do in the future if larger tires come in to play or if my wheeling dictates it.  I did re-gear to 5.38, very pleased with that.

Tera Axle sleeves: http://www.teraflex.biz/jk-axle-sleeve-kit.html#second
Many other vendors, Poly Performance is another good one.  I think the Poly's come upper and lower gussets IIRC

OK so here's what I just ordered  {letseat}
F/R Yukon 5.13s

Master install kits

Lube lockers

F/R Riddler diff covers

EVO Gussets

EVO control arm skids

Terflex Axle sleeves

Total: $971 delivered

That should be a good starting point for beefing up and staying safe.

I think I have made up my mind to go 35s for now.

What's the deal with the stock drive shafts on my JK?  Why will I need to replace them more with 37s than with 35s or is it just the lift that's going to make we want to replace the Drive shafts?

Yeah, is lift, not tire size.They can't take the non factory angle very long, and can take more expensive parts with them.

What us doing for bump stops?  I never got my front perfect like the rear was.

I just ordered the 2.5" Teraflex Bump stops.  If I need more I'll have to get some spacers or something.  I might trim my flares like Livingston and Glenn did.  I guess I will have to if I want to run 37s.

Fixed it for you.

Just do the 37's since you are putting 5:13's in it anyway. If you get 35's you will keep thinking, why didn't I just get the 37's. Be sure and buy 5, because Mike is always looking for a spare.   {hihi} {hihi}

Stick with the 35's if you want to drive it...
