Too cold to camp?  BAH!  ;D  Lots of fire wood helps.  Seriously though, looking forward to riding next weekend.

Weather is not looking good for this upcoming weekend.  If it doesn't get better looking I will be out for this trip.  No point driving all that way for nothing.

Oh, and that is when/where the two pics I posted in the new member thread were taken.

Agreed. I won't haul out and pay to ride in the mud! Will have to watch weather for sure.

Still a newb (only two rides with the club) so I gotta ask... what's the problem with rain and Morris Mountain? Some of you just don't like to ride in mud? Is this particular location no fun or too difficult when it's muddy?

I wont speak for everyone, but I hate riding in mud. Overall less of a rush for me, less skill involved, pain to clean.

Mud does suck. Morris mountain has a lot of dirt between the rock obstacles. You end up with tires filled with clay and having to be a throttle junky to hope to climb some of simple obstacles. If it was close it wouldn't be a big deal but driving 3-4 hours round trip and $20 to ride the bunny trails all day sucks.

There would be a lot of mud depending on weather. But the way the weather keeps changing since earlier this week, I think we will be fine. As long as it keeps changing in our favor. But my opinion is a nasty muddy day on the trails is better than a day doing anything else.

That's what I like to hear!  Looking forward to this ride.  Weather is definitely looking better.  Trying to clear my schedule to make this an overnight trip instead of a day trip.  Hopefully some of y'all will still be camping.

The MM mud is particularly clingy, and as well the rocks are quite slick when wet.  Bring the horsepower or stay home.
