So I ended up getting LASIK last Friday at the same place talked about at the start of the thread. Very cool experience. I liked that I could watch the surgery being done on other people so after 3-4 I knew exactly what to expect. After the nap I was good and the next morning at a follow up I was 20/20. 1 week later and other than bright lights bothering me and the occasional (only twice so far) cloudy eye for about an hr in the morning its been great. Hopefully now that I am off the medicated eye drops the dry part will go away some...

If your thinking about it, sign up on Lasik Plus website and they occasionally run deals and promotions so jump on it when you can.

The dryness will go away a little at a time as will the cloudy/halo type stuff.  My eyes were always fairly sensitive to the sun, they became a little more so after my surgery and stayed that way.  Not a major deal, I just always wear sunglasses.

They warned me mine would be worse than most. I have an extra thick cornea, almost to the point where they wouldn't have done the surgery. Since mine is so thick it slows the transfer of fluid to and from the eye. Still not a big deal to me at all... ill take occasional dry eyes over glasses any day!

I want this done bc I wear daily contacts. The normal ones would only last a week. I spend almost 600 a year due to needing dailys and toric lenses.
I want pke though, due to scuba diving and such. Much more involved. A patch has to be worn over the eye for a few days afterwards.
