Sandy and I had a wonderful time with you guys, as always with GATR!!
Cant wait for Morris Mtn.!

Richard, it's been a priviledge to get to know you. I wouldn't have busted you out yesterday but you are leaving us for the west! Sorry, had to be done!! ;D

No worries. It's always a good time on the radio.
Hate that I missed this ride, and especially as Richard is leaving too. If it makes you feel any better I broke a tail light because I didn't go.

Hate that you missed it too. Especially since you broke a taillight not on a trail.
Richard,

Thanks for taking that photo!!!  It is awesome!!!
Funny thing, I had to explain the pic to my wife. She couldn't understand the angle.
Richard,

Thanks for taking that photo!!!  It is awesome!!!

Cracked me up, had to stare at it for a second to figure out the angle.

So Wes saw me disrespect my Jeep ... trying to clean a little mud off, say what you want.  Then at the end of the day I was picking my line getting into he upper ditch going down and Wendy started yelling hey hey, look at that , hey hey hey~

Lets put it this way, Wes only needs 2 wheels to get down Bell mountain.  He bailed before dinner to go clean his shorts up.
Don't worry, I'm washing mine today.
So new to this that I don't even know what to ask!!!!

Looking back at the "almost endo", i should have had someone come drag my tail down as the passenger tire kept climbing that wall on the right (going down from bell) as i was entering that V-Ditch.  I was confident that it would eventually lose traction from that wall and drop...and it did, just not in the time frame I would have enjoyed.  My drivers tire was not in the ditch so flipping over the front was not in the cards...just looked crazy with me descending into the ditch and my rear climbing.  My pants survived the ordeal and my nephew was hanging on for dear life!  He slept the entire way home then went straight to bed once we got him back.

I wish i would have been able to go to dinner but it just was not in the cards.  Had a great time and cannot wait until Morris!  Less than 3 weeks away and it is a great park to give some of the newer guys a chance to see what their rigs can do and improve skillz.

Thanks to the organizers. That many jeeps going down the road was a beautiful thing.  Couldn't stop smiling!  I realized I may have to get the heater fixed, we froze!  Other than that it was a blast!  Thanks again!

My lady just told me smartly;  There were drivers who were very serious, and those more casual.

She continued; maybe if there was a way to break into groups, we wouldnt be overwhelmed with large stops. And trying to get everyone's names in smaller groups might be more fun than so many people all at once.

..... just sharing her 2 cents, i'd give you my 2 cents, but mine aint worth 2 cents.

my two cents = i like turtles

Most rides we do smaller groups with like skill levels. Definitely join us again at a park, a lot easier to stay organized.

I was smiling like hell b/c how many onlookers and other drivers (even that sheriff early on as we pulled off a trail onto the hwy) would pull aside to watch, or even folks on 4-wheelers who cheered as a mile long train of jeeps rolled by.  The group felt like a well organized hazard that wasn't a hazard at all b/c of the communication.  Props to Doug and all gunners for herding us along.  I can see why having a good reputation can help keep open opportunities... That little sunrise cafe (?) must have gotten more business in an hour than they got all week.

I remember being at my first ride with GATR (Choccolocco, last summer) and during the separation of groups, someone, maybe bobby, said, "We need all of the hard men to come here".  I think I was the only childish one in the audience and I laughed...then someone told me, "this is a family friendly club".  I still chuckled.
