I figured it would be easier to copy and paste this from my post in another thread.

I found an 05 LJ(red/dark gray interior)  It has 120k, and is an auto, with a/c.  I need to search around a bit about putting the 32rh in a newer tj. I imagine with the tj wiring and pcm it would work.

I am about to put an AW4 in my 05 LJ. The flywheels changed in 05. The 32rh flywheel will bolt up just fine but the computer can not use the timing marks. Your going to either need to change out the whole wiring harness pcm OR make a fly wheel OR  buy a kit from hesco to make it work.

I would put in an AW4 before I would do the 32rh, but to each his own.

I had one in my 97 and loved it. It is much easier to do in the older Tjs.

Fyi. I never used the tcu and just used a rail shift and the stock shifter.

I believe it has something to do with a difference in the location the ckps mounts doesn't it? I was planning on using the complete 4.7 stroker, trans, tcase, engine harness, and pcm from my 2000. My buddy said the tires were dry rotted from sitting so long, and the motor made hella racket , but was definitely a good buy. I forgot to tell my buddy that i was buying it to swap my good parts over, so at first he made a big deal about it knocking. I just told him i was going to fix it. I decided to do the right thing and just buy it through eBay. As Clark said, i wouldn't have found it without them. As soon as I deposited my insurance check this morning, i clicked the buy it now. It actually all worked out pretty good. My buddy paid the guy, and left with it on a trailer. He has to go to Alabama Sunday, so I'm meeting him and bringing the LJ and the trailer home. His parents needed his trailer to haul a tractor. That saves his parents a trip to get it, and saves me a trip to Louisiana. I dont think it could work out too much better. That's a good buddy, i owe him a few beers. Hopefully i can start on moving parts over next week.
