I usually find this site to be pretty dead on. http://www.weatherstreet.com/states/gfsx-10-day-forecast.htm
If you hover over the days under the map it will show you the system moving through on Thursday. I guess there is really no way to tell though

I wouldnt worry. Weather "people" don't know what they are doing. I am pretty sure they just throw bones with runes carved into them and read the message spelled out to predict the weather. Oh yeah, they can't forget the goats blood and frog testicles either.

I've decided to take the money I'd spend going on this trip & spend it getting the front axle fixed on the beater XJ.

The entire reason I got "red" was for offroading. I need to fix it & stop abusing my DD. My DD has 275K on it & it's just a matter of when,  not if, something will fail. I don't want that to happen 2 hours from home.
