Next steps on my build
« on: November 04, 2014, 08:45:08 AM »
I like to track what I spend on my toys and also budget for future items.  After GATR Fest, I realized that I need to upgrade some items on the JK.

Here is the list of what I have so far.  It will probably take me most of 2015 to get it all done.  The household CFO is pretty strict on the budget, but since I'm sleeping with her, I usually get what I want.  I have a list of Harley stuff that "I need" too so it's a balance.  Plus I want to build an offroad camping trailer that will cost $2k.

Take a look and tell me what I'm missing.  I'm still deciding on Metal Cloak vs. Poison Spyder on the exterior armor, but I like to be different so it may end up being MC.

Nice.  What cage can you have installed for 900?.  Rock hard our Poison Spyder?  My estimate on a cage is 2000 and up.

Poison Spyder but that is subject to change.  Also thinking about the Poly Cage kit.

Poison Spyder is in a redesign to address the windshield attachment or lack of.  I'm trying to get some intel.

I could say the cage is off by a lot. Front drive shaft that much?

I think that I was looking at the Tom Woods 1350 shaft.

Quote
In a 1310 series the drive shaft is $489; a 1350 series price would be $649.

Danny, which one did you post?

I don't know is I would go crazy big on factory axles. I would rather a u joint break on a DS than a ring and pinion or a axle shaft.

I updated the original sheet I posted.

EDIT I got the price from Poly's site for a JE Reel 1310 C.V. HD (JER-3512JK-24F)

Good point on the overkill will stock axles.  I'm all for saving money!
