As for the 'play Jeep' comment, I share her opinion. I'm continually amazed at members here with late model JK daily drivers starting expensive builds on expensive vehicles when they will then need to be overly cautious when on rides. In my opinion wheeling a vehicle on which you owe money to the bank is a bad idea.
Having never owned a Jeep before my JK, the slope from "i'll use it on the weekends to drive the family to Target and Olive Garden plus some light trail riding on the weekends" to "wow, this trail riding thing is fun and I don't want to say no to ANY trail" was very slippery!
So I agree with you, Kirk, but I also know things can change once you're into the sport. Once you've got the dollars invested into the rig its difficult to get out. I'm getting out of mine now but its costing me....
