I'm not exactly sure what I'm going to do.  I really want to pull the trigger on Hydro assist, ORIs, Atlas, and long arms, but I wasn't planning on spending any more money or time on the jeep for a while, now I'll be faced with another $10k that wasn't planned and countless man hours.  To add to the trouble, I need to have it back rolling in March for an initial shakedown run and ready for Windrock in April, and Hale and Moab in May...I don't see that happening if I go too far with it.

Pulling the trigger on ORI's at least keeps you from having to take the coilover mounts off to add spring perches, etc. But then you've gotta put coilover towers on the frame... #richpeopleproblems. //LOL//

The coil perches and shock tabs are still on the axles, so no savings there.  :(

Congrats to both parties! The ProRocks are a Damn nice set up, but your rig is one to be jealous of! The New mods are a game changer for sure

@clark123456 something tells me there's gonna be another topic posted soon... "Clark's winter, spring, summer build"

@jd30005  Your rig was insane as it sat, can't wait to see the next phase of your build.

@gint2 I will not be taking the Scott approach since I am limited by two major things:  Money and Time.  I think the plan is to get the axles under Jeep with minimal drive line and suspension changes.  Then, as time and money become available, I'll make modifications.  We'll see what really happens.

So true!

@clark123456   I think a work party at your house and we can get those new axles under your jeep. Believe me it helps to have extra hands when you are slinging axles around. Just ask cru9 and tcdawg.

YES, that will be on the to-do list.  It was a struggle doing my current axles, solo, and the d60 is just going to be a beast.  I'll reach out when I get closer to that point.

Here's a thought.  It's pretty likely you'll need a different length driveshaft, at least on the rear.  If John also needs new DS his old one's might fit yours, so that including the DS in the deal could make sense.  Worth some measuring?

That is an option to consider.  I was planning to have both of my drive shafts adjusted at a local shop, but it would be easier to just get one that works, if the length is right.  It appears, based on internet data, the D60 center of yoke is about 1.5" closer to the transfer case than the Ford8.8 center of yoke.  It also appears, again, based on internet data, the Atlas II is about 2.5" shorter than the NP231.  This will likely present a problem for me since my current rear drive shaft was at the very limit of design (compressed length) with my NP231 and F8.8.  However, I am not sure if John's drive shaft will support the length needed with my NP231.

I just do not have the cash available to go to the Atlas at this time and I do not desire to wait on the cash to be available before I get the new axles installed.  I am going to see if I can sell my cats, my mom, Kelley, or something else to scrape together some cash, but my hopes are not high!
