Attempting to teach myself to weld,

Borrowed my friends mig welder,going to see what I can figure out.  This should be fun

Just remember that when the volts and wire speed are set properly it should sound like you are frying eggs. I typically try to heat the thicker metal 1st so I don't blow out the thinner metal. A mig with gas will usually produce pretty welds while a flux core weld will sometimes look like crap. You can look at my sliders if you need an example of crappy looking welds. Lol. Let us know how it goes.

Watch ChuckE2009's videos on YouTube. He is great at teaching and explaining welding tips and different techniques.
