5.3 to 6.0 swap in Tahoe

If I go with the 6.0 (highly desirable) we will need a tune for the 6.0 to 4L60E trans.

Who in GA local does this stuff?

Tim Kirk has the tools to do it.  He can also get you the engine/transmission from the LS guy who shares garage space.

Interesting, I'll be following this too... I had the 6.0 in my 1500HD and wasn't all that impressed compared to my sons 5.3 in his 1500.

My post left. Vengeance is in Cumming, but I know another place that's building my ls3/416 ci that's speaks ls like we would English.

The engine swap is pretty simple, the tune will be the hang up. I would make sure ahead of time that you have someone willing and able.

One thing to look out for is that the ECM and the TCM are for the same model year.  Apparently there are model year changes that can make things incompatible.

thinking hard 6.0.  reding a lot of guys that drive daily and tow... no more down shifting on the hwy hills/mtns when not towing, super quick, same mileage, etc.

@PHANTOM I have a guy that can tune my box, or send us a brand new one tomorrow.  I'll send you the info.
