XJ folks, concerns with '99s?
« on: May 21, 2016, 02:06:53 PM »
Looking for Jordan a new car and he only has $4000 to spend. we found a couple of 99-02 models in that price with under 200000 miles. What should i look for? it's gonna be a daily driver/weekend warrior.
Marc, Tracy, Jordan, and Tyler Allen

The 99 is known as the best year. Make sure that it has the 8.25 not the Dana 35. If it has ABS it has a 35. But for $200 or less you can get one. The drivers master control switch is a weak link but replacements are available in the junk yard.  Another reason I love the XJs parts are cheap & plentiful.
