Hey, I've got that new XRC8, 8000# winch. You can get it for $300 new and it has a 2 year warranty.

You can catch the 10000# Harbor Freight <MileMarker> winch on sale about once a month. With a 20% off coupon, you can get it, the mounting plate and a 2 year warranty for a bit over $400. Ive used the snot out of mine without any complaint other than its slow.
