Daily drivers on beadlocks

I am looking 1st person knowledge and experience before I spend a lot of money on some new rims.
Who here has a DD on beadlocks?
What brand of beadlocks are you using?
What size tires are you running?
How many miles a day are you driving?
How are you balancing the tires and wheels?
How does your setup feel under 20 mph? over 60 mph?

I'm curious as well. Are your DIY beadlocks riding badly?

My thought is If you get a quality set of beadlocks then will just as well as a non beadlock if properly installed. But let's get some 1st hand info from those with them.

Yes,I don't like them for the street that much.My beadlocks are a DIY kit welded to a set of D window wheels. I got them used and are perfect for beating around on the rocks and trails.
I don't look forward to buying tires (37s) and wheels to drive on the street and then have to change over to 42's for wheelin. I can save myself some money, time and back pain by picking up 5 dot beadlocks for the 42's.

Absolutely. Having 2 sets to maintain and swap would be a pain.

Mine is not a DD but I have drove it to work close to
a dozen times at 80 miles a day. Plus various trips up
to the mtns and such so I 've probably got about 1500
miles on the road since my rebuild.
 
I have 15 x 8 Raceline Beadlocks and 37'' Pitbul Rockers.
They haven't balanced since they where put on. They
have been rotated once. They drive fine on the rode. I
have got up to about 70 mph with no problem.

I know Clark has had problems with his leaking air and
changed his rings out. I have not had a problem with mine.

i guess you could call mine a daily driver. I've had the racelines for around 15000 miles and have never had to add air other than airing back up. When i went from the toyo's to my pbr i did have to add spacers to prevent the ring from coning. I haven't had a single issue with them and haven't had any bolts work loose. (not that i've actually checked, might need to do that). All kidding aside there have been no broken bolts or rings flying off going down the highway.

Raceline aluminum with steel rings w 40s.
Usually 10 miles a day by Madison but I've recently taken on 100 mile trips.
Stick on weights at Allsouth.
Smooth as butter at all speeds up top 85/90 downhill but it is the TIRES that make the difference.

2 sets suck! Been there done that no way.

Another "not a total DD" answer for you Larry.  I don't DD mine but easily could...and I spin it around on the road whenever I get a chance and know it's not going to rain( I hate putting the top up)

17" Aluminum Raceline 233's with the steel ring.  37" Pit Bull Rockers.

I have probably put 1000 miles on them since I have had the beadlocks.  No loose beadlock ring bolts, balance out smooth(stick on type balance weights) and easily run 70-75 on the highway.  They are a smooth as any other wheel I have run with a big, heavy 37" tire.

never had any trouble at all holding air, only time ive added is after a wheeling trip.

I drive it at least a couple times a week to work and around town 16miles roundtrip. I have driven it on 100 mile trips as well, even pulled my small trailer several times camping, no issues at all, I have driven it close to 5k miles since i tagged it.  The faster i drive it the smoother it gets, no joke. 5-20, maybe 25mph at the most i feel wobble, but its bent rear shafts. The steering is way sensitive tho, its gotta be close to perfect or the death wobble will eat your lunch.

My close friend ran 37" nitto TGs on 17" ATX slabs and they rode fine doing 70-75. It was a good setup. He drove to school and work everyday.

I have not seen anybody say they are running balance beads in thier tires and wheels. That's good to know.

@tcdawg if you can get in and enjoy the ride to and from a place at anytime you want it's a DD to me.
