Has anyone here ever re certified a tank?

I read where it costs less than $20.  Shops normally send them out.  I hope that the Smittybuilt kit that I bought hasn't been sitting at Amazon for a year or two. 

Most shops don't have to ability to hydro a cylinder so they don't even offer it or send it out. I had my aluminum recertified by my old roommate at a fire/marine safety shop he worked at. Now I just swap it out since the welding shop in Holly Springs keeps the aluminum beverage company cylinder that I have in stock. When I was in the back last time I also remember seeing the small 5 or 10 lb aluminum CO2 ready for exchange.

Most shops that fill onsite get a large CO2 cylinder that they use to refill customers cylinders.

Paintball place was going to charge me $40 I think for my 5 pounder. It was old and rusted. I just bought a new one for $69
