This past weekend Sandy and I went out and stayed with some really good friends for the weekend. She got the message that her stepfather passed away Saturday. We came home early Sunday and was down in Macon today and the funeral will be in Barnesville Tuesday.

I've known James for the past 15 years and have really enjoyed our conversations. We always got along great even though he spent his time in the Navy and I was a Marine. You can only imagine the ribbing that went back and forth. I will continue to cherish those memories for the rest of my life.

I had heard the Marines were a department of the Navy;  My former marine co-worker tells me, "yeah, the men's department."  I'm sure you have more...and I'd like to hear them sometime.
