What should the value of this be:  http://atlanta.craigslist.org/nat/cto/5386467144.html

Damnit Clark, are you gonna jump right into an LS, 60s/40s, fully built JKU? ("For overland wheeling")

Have to wonder why he doesn't have the inspection done already.

Yep, I thought the same thing.

Ha!  I was just looking through Craigslist and saw this thing sitting there.

Clark just realizes he needs more room, it's ok..... :)

Truth!  I can't make up my mind, so I continue to look at everything...literally everything (XJ, LJ, JL, JKU, FJ, Tacoma, 4runner, etc etc)  I do think the JL is my favorite but cost concerns me.

There is a pretty kickass black JKU with some white accents with a super charger, cage, Rubicon transfer case, pr44 w/RCV, ARB, 5.38s in Woodstock, but I'm just not sure that's what I want.

I've been over it thru detailed photos, appears to be a rubi 44 front, stock suspension, salvage title,  If it was auto, it's just a little high on price for me. No way with a clutch.  LS is the way to go anyway.

Is there some non-preferential reason to not pair an LS or Hemi with a clutch?  I was thinking I would go manual regardless of which vehicle I end up with next.

IMO, for the prices I keep seeing on the used JKU's I think it may be better to buy a new JKU Rubicon.

I'd be all over this if it weren't so expensive:  https://atlanta.craigslist.org/nat/cto/5429698208.html

That's exactly why I bought new. I didn't go Rubi, but very happy with my decision. Only a few grand for warranty, new, etc.

I'm keeping that in mind.  It looks like there are deals where I can get a 2012+ JKU-R for about $13k less than new but with 50k miles.

My big concern is that with a JKU I want to run 37s, but I'm concerned about the 44s not being able to handle the weight, so having to replace them immediately, especially the rear axle.  Even if they aren't replaced, I should regear.  It's just an ugly combination no matter which way I look at it.

You're overlanding with it, right?  Lots of us have run or are running 37's on 44's and doing a lot more than what you've said the JK would be used for.

What should the value of this be:  http://atlanta.craigslist.org/nat/cto/5386467144.html

the Burnsville hemi conversations has had nothing but problems.  You would really want to get into the detail of the conversation and do an extended test drive.  One of the issues was overheating.  Burnsville was also beat up hard over the interwebs and still is for the craptastical customer service... which is non existent

I wouldn't hit a dog in the ass with that rig for that price.
