Really like that but I'd have to figure out how to get some A/C in there.  Looking at the engine bay, doesn't look like much room at all.
Agreed on the A/C.

Here is another nice one with A/C (just no LS).  Otherwise, looks to be a solid setup.

I meant to quote this one. It also has a rebuilt title.

The copper TJ is nice!!! Kinda reminds me of one a guy on here use to have.

That is an incredible deal
It has the stock engine, trans & t case. @kvom has a similarly build rig with a Atlas for a tad more.
Im reading different

1997 Jeep Wrangler Rock Crawler with 5.3 LS swap and 700r4 automatic transmission. Dana 60 front and Sterling rear from 99-04 Superduty with 5:38 gears,

It says it has the NP231. Behind the 5.3 that's guaranteed to break. So plan for another $2800 for an Atlas plus driveshaft work.

When on HL I look for pictures of it if I see something similar in color. Wish I could have kept it and have the chassis. Guy off HL bought in Alabama.

So guys what else would you change on this rig other than the transfer case eventually?

Who wheels without air conditioning? I know all the buggies and most of us have no top or doorsf but like cold air in the face on a hot day.

I like my AC, but if I was starting with something like this rig, I could live without it. TC is the main weak link I see.

The tires wouldn't be my first choice, but I would wheel it as is until I broke the current TC and then put an Atlas in it.

I think that rig is a great deal. Even if you had to dump $5 or $6k more into it, you're way ahead of building from scratch.

I plan on wiring up one of those 12v fans like school bus drivers have this summer. I think just moving some air around will help tremendously

Top and doors that work are a nice thing that it has.

Are those the sticky tires or do they sell them both ways?

I don't turn the AC on when wheeling.  My top is down and either doors off or half doors....AC doesn't do a damn thing.

If this was a perfect rig for you, other than the lack of AC, it can be added for less than $1000.  When I was looking at that stretched Gold TJ from up north with the LQ9 motor I looked into adding AC.

EJS easily. Streets are a different story. I would want to be able to drive it on the road like jeff melissa gary do.

Trailer to trailhead or
Utah street driving you'll need a permit, title, ga tag, insurance.
The residents we ride with have them.  Not sure how the out of state permits work.  Jeff knows all about them.  I'll ask him.
