She wants a 4 door JKUR, I want the 2 door version. As I always get her hand-me-down car. We will work it out in time.
Its also the wrong color. It HAS to be red.

My wife told me the other day that I should get a 4 door.  I told her that starting over would be very expensive and besides, I like having a REAL JEEP.  //LMAO//

I think your wife deserves a like.  Is there a way to only like half of a comment?

I'll pass it along to her Don.  Two door guys are definitely the minority in the Jeep world now.
And will be for the rest of time

You are correct ... well, until the truck comes out in 2019.  You'll see a ton of those.

If I got a four door.  I'd still take out the back seats.

They were not the best sellers but now they are desireable. Funny how that works.

I think it'll be a repeat of history.  I personally want one but I want a Jeep with a smaller/shorter truck bed, not a full truck bed.   My bet is that what goes to production will be too big, too much overhang in the rear, and won't be different enough from a Ford Ranger or Tacoma for example.  So, Jeep truck sales will do good for a year, then the Ford Ranger will make it's comeback in 2019/2020 and Toyota will do something with the Tacoma line to fight the incursion into it's sales, and then Jeep will stop making the Jeep truck again.  30 years later people will again say "They were not the best sellers but now they are desirable. Funny how that works." :)

I  agree with the outcome.  My perspective is that a Jeep is a jeep, and trying to make a Jeep in to a truck, is just tough in the market.  A guy takes his wife out looking for a "truck" and goes to the Jeep dealership, then they go look at any other truck and realize that the interior is nicer on a non-Jeep truck,  and discuss the foolishness in taking a $40K vehicle off road, so why are we looking at a Jeep truck again?

So now its a $40k off road argument? I think those that buy the jeep truck are just like the SUV driver. They like to "think" they can go off road, but it will be cooler and they can easily carry a kayak or slide in camper. Most jeeps are never driven off road, and most of us that do are probably foolish. But that's another discussion.
