Need help with threads and adapting
« on: March 16, 2017, 07:04:12 PM »
Close to 3/4 npt but not, goes in a few turns and jams.

Measures 26mm od 24mm in threads, about 5 threads over 10mm.

Thought it was M25-1.5, must be M26-2.

Can't find anybody around that has anything to test fit it in.

I need to adapt it to 3/4npt.

Any suggestions?

HomeDepot?  Looks like a water hose spigot?
Nothing close at HD, ace, etc
Gas line, flo-n-go.

If etc includes Lowe's, then I'm out of ideas, but I do know for sure that Lowe's and home depot do not carry the same stuff.

What's the application you'd use it for?  I have a lot of fittings for brewing fittings that may work.

Gas transfer to boat
Plastic crap nozzle and house it comes with doesn't last. Leaks and brittle.
I have a pro hose and nozzle to connect to it
I have a few of the 14 gallon size.

For brewing I used a bunch of stuff that was designed for petrol stuff.  The camlocks with nipples is very common, but they are pricey!

Here's what I'm talking about, but you may find cheaper/better elsewhere.  I think I used to get mine from McMaster-Carr or eBay..LOL

I was thinking you might be able to abandon the adapter you're trying to use and go to something new/different.  You asked for suggestions...that was my suggestion :)

Could it be an nps thread? Meaning a straight pipe thread. We do some 3/4-14 nps threads I have a gauge for if you don't figure it out before I pick up my shipment

That disn't come across right, I was looking all over at what looked like fire hose connections to me, but this is just a threaded connector.  Wondering if I was missing it.

@Cranvilstan I'll look up those dimensions and check it

Those are 14 TPI  and mine is 12, but I am finding that there is a 3/4-12.
I can't figure this out.  Says NPT, says 3/4-12, says #12 female.

I think I might need 3/4-12 male on 1 side
3/4 NPT (14) on the other

3/4-12 FHG5-S 3/4" MALE NPT #12 FEMALE SAE PARKER STRAIGHT ADAPTER FITTING
