"Ring and pinion is more than enough"

All you guys buying 60's for 40's must be stupid.  You can have this guy build your Jeep.

Who tf is he discussing his plan of buying rcvs for a dana 30 with? Someone should at least tell him to get a front 44. And I doubt he's running the big 35 spline stuff in the rear.

That said, I would love a set of JK d44s for a new buggy build

But he said it was a "nightmare going to 40s".... wtf did he actually do to prepare for 40s besides buy the wrong tire size for his axles?

Pat - I don't think he's talking to anyone.  Seems like he knows it all already.

Rcv warranty is voided beyond 35" for the dana 30... I requested access to the group so I could join in on the fun with mike

I ran 35's with my D30, but had beefed up the front..  going to have to agree with most of the comments.  past 35's  thats pretty small for all that weight?  when i replaced my front 30 with a PR44 i felt it could handle the 37's.  but I think once u start pushing the 40 mark, .. you guys do it right, alot more to think about and just bigger wheels ur adding more weight and the breaking points get weaker. . .   not sure why they think thats ok..  ..

i mean i understand $$  but what u spend / spent on the 40's u would be better served making strength/adjustments. like ditching the 30 for atleast a 44 if u plan to go 40. .  .    i know for some folks.. waiting is hard.  its something i struggle with, but ...

If i have learned nothing, from the good advice i get here... its.  do it right the 1st time, and wait for the show...modds.... do the no show ones first, they will server you much better....   O well....  it will be interesting to see this thing wheel and for how long and how hard..
