Love those pictures.......the excitement of it.
Reminds me of my Moab/Colorado trip 2017.
First time across the country was awesome
my daughter was taking pictures like crazy.

Lol...it reminds me of hours upon hours of boring travel. 

Mixed with some excitement :)

The reward is about to be experienced though, and those boring miles will be a distant memory (until you think about the return trip).

Ah, yes, I remember those as well.  The thing that made a big difference IMO was caravaning and having pre-determined stop overs.

Here is some pics from the bear visit the first night at camp in South Lake Tahoe. Got in the Jeep and was trying to get our ratchet strapped food bin out.

We woke up to rustling bins in the Jeep and thought it was kids trying to steal stuff...turned out to be a black bear about 8ft from us when we got out of the tent.
