Coil springs for TJ
« on: January 27, 2020, 04:57:09 PM »
I am currently running Rubi Exp 3.5 coils , I would like to drop down to a shorter spring! But I’m not sure what manufacturer or Dual rate vs Progressive rate. Any thoughts on this would be great !,

I think the only brand that makes smaller than 3.5” in a progressive type spring is rough country. FEIW I like the ride of my 3.5” Rock Krawler triple rate springs but that won’t put you any shorter.

Currie/savvy make a dual rate at 3 but you are correct from what I can tell 3.5 smallest progressive rate !!

spring options are getting smaller and smaller.

Synergy still makes front springs, but no rear springs.  They say they are progressive.

I ended up with OME/ARB springs to put into the LJ.  I don't think they are anything but liner rate.  I should have dimensions on how much lift vs stock LJ Rubi this weekend.

I thought about Savvy springs, they say progressive as well.  but one size fits all springs didn't feel right, and their lead times as of late have been less than optimal.  At least from what I ordered.

The currie springs say dual rate progressive, but 4"

so, not much help.  You can always just cut part of a coil off your current springs.

FWIW

I just put OME 2934 and 2996 springs on the LJ.  I netted 3" up front and 3.25 out back without a hardtop on.  Not exactly what you were looking for for springs, but some results.
