SPOD knock-off
« on: February 14, 2020, 09:15:45 AM »
On amazon, pretty cool little setups:

For my TJ (I'll have to adapt a JK one for it):
https://www.amazon.com/Voswitch-Wrangler-2007-2018-Overhead-Backlight/dp/B079JLPCMF/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=voswitch+tj&qid=1581689328&sr=8-2

You fancier guys might like this one:

The fancier one comes with that RAM-style mounting thing and phone holder.

I got it in yesterday...man, it's physically solid.  I hope the electrical components are equally as good.

I will have to figure out how to mount the switch box.  I might end up putting nutserts on the ends and using some roll bar light bar mounts to put it over the driver's side.

Mounting the relay box in the engine compartment should be fun, too.

I used these in a few of the JK builds I did at Rugged Ridge. Made the wiring so much easier than having to make a custom relay block. Also saved me a few days time! I didn't care for the windshield frame mounted switch box so I moved the switches to the center stack in a new housing.

Just make sure that the relay box is properly sealed. I had one that got water under the pcb and it was causing lights to randomly turn on and off. That was fun!
