I wouldnt say it was any less safe for a white guy, per-say. But it has a rough side of town. For instance a gas station attendant was just killed on the job last week in lithonia. But at the same time Stonecrest mall is in lithonia and I highly doubt you will be mugged at the mall.

No, it's an individuals home. I figure if the guy will let me come get it around 9am it should safe. I would think that most hoodlums hang out later in the day throughout the night.

I have a friend that lives off a dirt road 1.5 miles away from Stonecrest Mall. He says he feels very safe out there. He carries a .45 in his waistband and usually has something in an ankle holster. The 2 dawgs normally let him know if someone is coming down the road. One of em will lick you to death the other one is just plain mean. He said he's never had any problems out there. (he's a white guy, Harley rider if that matters)
Fill up before you go and take someone with you.

Chuck you’ll be fine during the day. My brothers and I own a restaurant/bar in Lithonia and we’ve survived for 25+years. It also happens to be right down the road from where that shooting happened that Chris mentioned. While the area has changed since I grew up there it has its challenges just like in the Metro.
