I just feel better after. Never know with water. Will, MUD SUCKS!
THat was hard bottom stuff. It just looks really muddy cause it was fresh rain runoff.
But I'll be changing the rear diff soon. Why? Because I'm a dumbass. When I threw the 8.8 in I was in a rush and didn't feel like dealing with the breather tube (taking 5 seconds to zip-tie it up the fuel filler tube), so I just shoved it into the frame rail
. Anyways, I felt like it was fine there for that trip (Tellico at the time) and it was. No deep water there. So I completely forgot about it after that until I got back on here and saw Chris's post. I've checked the fluid many times and it has looked fine. So being very lazy today I first watched the vid again and yep, the whole frame went under. So I walked out to the Jeep just to have a look. I pulled the tube out and it was still soaking wet cause the breather tip was sitting all the way at the end where water was sitting.... nice. fluid looks ok, but if there was a lot of water in there it would be at the bottom. If it was in there for awhile it would be really milky. So I'll change it in a couple of days. Most likely tomorrow. Anyways, tie up your hoses.
