wtb..tj lift parts and other build stuff
« on: August 17, 2008, 09:32:09 AM »
so here it goes. a friend just got a 98 4cyl. tj and wants to build it up. so far it has 31' a/t's on tj canyons. no lift. stock. due to her budget i think we are going to go 3'' budget lift. basically im looking to pick up some random stuff to make the jeep wheel and look better. show me what you have for sale or trade. i have some random xj parts for trade for some tj parts. lets talk! :hlp would like to trade the canyons out for some steel blackies. tires are optional at this point. if the right deal comesalong the tires could go. ill get pics soon for the build thread.

alright, so the plan is to with a 3'' lift  with the ability to go to 5'' with the use of spacers in the future.

needed.    3'' lift coils front and rear.
               shocks to boot
so let me know what im leaving out for a basic 3'' lift. if i cant find everything on here in say a month ill have to buy from a manufacturer.

The suspension components that make up the lift.

Front & Rear Track Bars (Adjustable) Cheap route would be the brackets.
Longer Sway Bar End Links
Bump Stops (Use Hockey Pucks) I should have 4 extras somewhere.
Shocks
Springs

Control Arms (optional)

Juan, you won't need to go that high. 5" is alot on a TJ. Keep it low and get a belly up skid. Center of gravity is key. I know you already know this but that is my opinion. I run the 3,5" RE superflex but it's more like 4-4.25" and never have issues with clearance or keepin up with the big boys.
I've grown tired of this.
