Edit on that map. The only part of 2 that is closed is the rock garden. You can take the dirt road all the way to the ledges but I would not alone! You will know what is closed. Everything has a gate or yellow tape.

if it rains then mud but not like mud pit style mud. Other than that, rocks and dirt, mostly rocks

If it's wet be careful. There are alot of silt traps and those things will swallow your Jeep. Wet and Tellico are not the best conditions. By the way, here are the closed trails... 7,8,9 and some of 2.

Find someone to ride with or wait and go out with a group.

Go real slow ;D. The first time a lot of things will look impossible but they're not. Don't try anything you don't feel comfortable with and you will be fine.

Oh yeah silt traps are pretty much sand and are like sink holes. You will know them when you see them stay away from them.

We have all been where you are. Richard is right though, slow and steady and you can krawl about anything. Just remember they call it rock krawling for a reason. Skinny pedal is for mud. Rocks don't give so remember where your low points are and steer clear. If need be have your wife get out to make sure you are not gonna rip your oil pan off etc! You will be fine. Man, I wish I could get up there! Love to show you around the place!

Nothing yet. Curious to here how it went. Would you agree with everything said? We took you up all the good stuff and you did awesome! But would you want to go up there alone being new to the sport and place... Nope! Hope all is well for him! If not I bet his wife will be all over him! :D

Yes I do 100%. I can see going with a group, but hell, even I wouldn't go without proper guidence. I had been following this guys questions. I had about the same ones, but I figured you guys would not lead me down the arong path. You could just get in a bind really quick and than you have your family with you to take care of? Not a pretty picture. Lets just ride it out and maybe they will give the forum a buzz soon.
