Tires, tires, tires
« on: September 17, 2008, 09:57:58 PM »
Ok, I am begining my search for my next set of tires. I would like opinions on what people have and how they like them, perform, what type of mileage, etc. I have had BFG MT, AT and Trxus tires. Love my Trxus tires but the mileage BLOWS! Love the BFG AT but I want a more agressive tire and the tread life the AT has. Fine line here between performance and wear. Between Chris and Doug, I think we have almost 75% of the input coming from them since they have had about 12 sets of tires.  :D I have almost decided on the pro comp extreme mt tire. I like the looks and know they perform well when chris had them. Just looking for opinions. My Jeep is my DD and wheel atleast once a month. You boys who have rode with me know my style, slow and steady. Just looking for a good compromise! Here are a 2 I like. Saw the DC tire on extreme 4X4 last weekend and liked the pattern alot. Tires never look as good in the pics than in real life.

I would wait until late October and see what BFGoodrich is gonna do to the price of the MT KM.... I love those things, and the wear is awesome for a mud terrain.

I have also looked at the Pro Comp Xtreme MT. It looks like a really good tire for daily drivers like us.

I think I am going to be doing like Will and waiting to see if there is going to be a KM fire sale, since I don't think I will ever be able to sell the tires I have now.

On a side note, this is what I thought of when I read the title of this thread:

You may want to try these out. I've had them and they perform great offroad and they don't wear quick plus they're quiet on the road.

Let me know about these...

Do they come in 10.50?

Awesome! Any idea on mileage, warranty. That is the 1 thing I love about BFG, no questions asked guarantee. You bust one, you get a new one. I had a bad experience with Interco on my tread seperation and they were like, well, it's an offroad tire and we really can't warranty that. WHAT! I KNOW IT'S A FREAKIN OFFROAD TIRE, YOU SHOULD STAND BEHIND IT!!!!!! But anyway, thanks!

Yeah they are real good about stuff like that as long as it is something that is a defect or fault from the company. If you do something to them offroad no they don't cover it. I got a buddy of mine a set well over a year ago and they still have like 80% tread left on them and it is his DD.
