The only issue I have ever had is that it is sometimes hard to free spool.  I removed to cover and greased the gears really good.  I ocassionally unspool by hooking to a tree and freeing everything up.  Other than that it is plenty strong.  I hope it gets better with age and use...

Haha yeah it was pretty tough! Ask Ben and Daniel about pulling my winch line. It was some hard stuff sometimes but it never did seem to get easier even when I went with synthetic rope... Hope yours gets better.

I want to but my jeep is about 50 pieces right now. I don't think it will be done till Nov 8. But even then I will need to do a shake down run close to home to work any bugs before I make a long haul.
