Rattler Security System Problems
« on: January 28, 2009, 09:23:14 PM »
I have a Rattler Security System installed in my motorhome.  The battery died and had to replace.  When I hooked up the new battery, the alarm went off and I cannot get it to stop.  I finally pulled two inline fuses in order to get the alarm speaker to stop scaring the neighbors.  Does anyone know how to reset the alarm system or something I can do to get the alarm to quit.  Also my radio nor my cd player will work.  This problem also started as a result of dead battery..

Thanks in advance... :'(

I found the problem. There is a reset switch that has to be pressed while inserting key into ignition and pressing the automatic door lock.  This happens evertime the battery dies and/or you change the battery. The alarm will go off continously without using the reset switch.
