may we take a few mins out of our busy day to remember those that died that day, to remember why it is that we are still in the fight to this day, and to remember those that have fallen because of this day.
May God hold them closer to his side this day and may he bestow his almight blessings on those families that are without this day.

And may God have mercey of those son-of-a-bitchs that wage war against us cause I dont have any.

Bad thing is a lot of people have even here on an Army base a lot of people seemed to have forgotten we had a remembrance and people drove on by like it was nothing. Then went to the rodeo last nite and this chick sittin about 5 feet from me stood there arms crossed while the national athem was being played I wanted to choke the shit out of her.

We dont forget either. My 7 year old knows the pictures of the twin towers when they were attacked and knows who did it.

As for the girl at the rodeo. Ignorance. Next time tell her about the proper way to show respect. Try to keep an even tone though, keep her from getting defensive. Good thing about cub scouts and girl scouts it that it teaches a reverence for our country. Somewhere along the line...I'm guessing in the late 60's early 70's our parents didnt get the civic education they needed.
I hope I get to trail ride this year.

Posted this in another forum:

I was on 285 south at the time. I was headed to Martin Burks Chevy to have the 99 Z71 looked at by their service department. I was with the Bureau of Prisons in Atlanta and it was my day off as well. The dealership was like a ghost town. The Atlanta Pen went into lock down due to some inmates making some snide remarks of rioting. A fellow co-worker arrived at the Pen a few days later, around the time I started my work week, with Air marshal applications. I took one, filled it out, and submitted it. I was transferring to the FAA 45 days later. Did it for 2 years and have since moved on. But never will I forget or forgive! {no}
