XJ 231 t-case, AW4 trans
« on: January 26, 2011, 02:52:02 AM »
Early 90's 231 and AW4 transmission from a XJ with a 4.0 engine. $150 for the case,  $100 for the trans. Condition unknown, but was pulled from a XJ  that got stuffed on the L/R side and spun around and smacked again on the L/F. My wrecker company was the one who pulled it in, so we know it was running. Engine was already put in another XJ. I'll try to find out the exact year if needed.

Let me know what year it is. Does the tranny come complete with torque converter, dipstick and everything?

Trans comes complete.  I can't remember for certain if its got a dipstick or not but ill look tomorrow. Has a converter and looks like a new module on the side. I wanna say it is a early 90s model.

Wasn't able to find out the exact year. The remains of the XJ has been disposed of already. Bossman thinks it was a 93. Includes torque converter, dipstick, etc...  Since I don't know the true condition of the transmission I'll give a 2 week "warranty" if you will,  to GATR members. If it doesn't work properly I'll refund your money. That covers the transmission only. I'm only doing that due to the fact that I've never driven the donor Jeep. The tie rod got turned into a pretzel, among other things.

sorry for the delay, I've got to separate the case and the transmission to count em... I'll try to get that done when the rain stops.
