mobile home axles illegal yet?
« on: March 30, 2011, 08:40:34 PM »
i got my trailer on a deal and just finished rebuilding it... havent registered it yet but pulled a few things and now the bearing need gone through... its old and was built before the law took effect (if it has already)... problem is there is no ID tag on it to prove it was built before and i heard if they were they were grandfathered in...

trying to figure out if the laws passed... i may be stuck buying new axles instead of just a bearing job... dont want to do the bearings if i cant register it... lol...

I just registered my trailer today (once I realized I hadn't since 2009  :o :o :o)

They didn't say a word....she came out to verify VIN, plate number that I had on it, and didn't even mention the axles.

I was in/out in 5 min.

I never had them ask anything about the axles.
