Ryan wasn't there, so it was just the straight guy  :D

Is the countertops smooth or textured?

Depends on how much time you put in sanding after you spread the chips I think. I spent 2-3 hours sanding, and the clear coat is thick as well, so it tended to fill in any imperfections that were left so its fairly smooth. I'll try to get a better shot of the finish with a real camera now that its hardened.

I'll keep y'all posted on how it holds up. The guys working the paint counter at Lowe's want me to bring them pictures too, they said I am the first person they have ever seen buy it.

Thinking about doing my work bench in the garage. Does it handle heat well? Like hot freshly welded metal?

I imagine slag would burn through it like it would on a garage floor coating.
