Tim Cameron's Newest Buggy - "Hellraiser"
« on: May 23, 2011, 09:13:33 PM »
Tim Cameron's new buggy, "Hell Raiser". Buggy built for Tim Cameron by Tim Cameron. The axles and motor are what set this rig apart from the rest. Ouverson's first and currently only set of fabricated open knuckle Rockwell housings with 47 spline 2" Violator shafts front and rear. The motor is a very healthy LSX 454 pushing somewhere in the ballpark of 700hp, give or take a hundred.
Few details needs to be buttoned up and then we should be seein' a lot more of the original Youtube Hero.

man, must be nice. That motor is worth more than my jeep and sub combined.
I've grown tired of this.

Not really. Have you priced them? Not bad to me compared to old school motor builds to get the same power and reliability.

That is a sweet buggy.  I love the tube work on it.

$11,000 is worth my jeep and sub combined. And this is not a complete off the shelf, ready to go crate engine either. My crate engine in the monte was $4,000 and was a complete bolt in. I wanted the 572, but not a 13,000 loan payment with it. Check the price...

I built a 572hp (dyno tested) 383 LS1 for 6k. Made life fun in my Z28.  ;D

You are right Ben. I was thinking ls not lax.  {toast}

11Gs for a trail rig engine is a little steep to me.

Richard, I would have to be extremely rich and careless to buy a motor for that price. Would be nice! But a small block could be built nicely for a 1/4 of that cost.
I've grown tired of this.
