Best tire prices...
« on: August 15, 2011, 10:14:02 AM »
The time has come to get a new set of tires. Post up your best places to buy from. I don't think I can beat 4wheel parts just for the free shipping if picked up at the store. Tire rack is a very close second. Looking at 35x12.50 15 BFG mud terrains. They are actually 2lbs lighter than my 33's. Go figure {ehm} So any help you guys can send for cheaper I appreciate it! {toast}

I always tell people to try discount tires. And don't accept their first price I always get them 100 to 200 less

Ben, you might want to consider going to a 17". It seems that the 15" tires are getting harder and harder to find.

I have thought about it but I can't afford new wheels and tires right now. Hell, I can't afford tires! I don't think 15" tires will ever be out though. It would be a really stupid move on the manufactures part if you ask me.

Me and Lawton are both about to buy 35s for our JKs.  We were going to see if we could do some collective bargaining.  Want to jump in with us?  Someone will surely cut us a deal on 3 sets of 35" BFGs.

Yeah, just let me know WHEN you are going to buy. I am limited in funds right now. But can probably borrow some cash to do a deal if need be. If anything I could buy 2 after I sell my tires and just keep saving.

Tread Depot had great prices on my MTR's so might want to check them.

I found mine on tirecrawler.com, and then had Discount Tire match the price.

Your best bet is to use google shopping to find the best price and start there.

Thanks for this link. The price of 35's is $190.48, I know that does not include shipping but I contacted direct to see what they will offer. {toast} They are listed on direct at $232, free shipping.

I found 4 Wheel Parts able to match or beat any deal delivered when I was buying tires for the J K.   They also have a great warranty you can buy that saved me 2x.

Allsouth does great on some tires as well.

We're shooting for two weeks from now.  The deal on my XJ fell through because the guy couldn't register it in California because my XJ was built with federal emissions option.  Can you believe that sh!t?  The DMV told him if he moved there with the jeep he could register it but he couldn't buy it from out of state and bring it in.  I kind of wanted to have that sold before I bought tires but I also really want to make the Gray Rock trip which is only 4 weeks out.

I agree that 4 wheel parts is probably still going to be the best bet.  I feel a little better about their installers than anywhere else too.  The monkeys at most tire stores scare me.
