The store at the bottom of the hill from the cabins has ice. Most people just bought a bag a day or so to keep their beer in coolers cold at the cabin and left the food alone in the fridge.

What r u guys planning to have?  Can we help by having paper plates or plastic utensils or deserts?  Which night?

I have a food cooler that plugs in and a beverage cooler.  I will be grilling 1 or 2 nights.

The corner cafe in town (1 mile from the cabins) has kick ass cheap breakfast, lunch and dinner.

well it looks like I'm in just gottado my oil pan gasket, would love to do my power brakes but might just stick with the manual don't want to open a can of worms

Jay, you could do it last minute if there was still a cabin with a spot left.  It's a 5 hour drive from you.  You can google map directions, just search on Evarts, Ky.  Pack some clothes, some money and make sure your rig is ready to make the trip...and go.  You can stop on the way to get groceries and beer.

One thing would be to try and let someone know before they all get up there.  Cell phone coverage is awful in Evarts, actually non existent, if you have AT&T. If you have Verizon there is a new tower that helps out a good bit but even some Verizon folks had trouble.  So you'll want to not be so last minute that everyone is already out of cell coverage.

I remember getting a signal at mason jar entrance. It is the highest point out there. Man, I am soooo ready for this ride!

Yep once we got up the mountain I had enough service to text and sometimes make calls. You are not kidding Ben! Ready to be in the mountains

Cant wait... may have to see if i can get an earlier start to be with the 12 time crowd. if not guess ill be catching up via CB. Found my trail map lastnight... Cant wait!  {popcorn}

If everyone or even a few people want to contribute, that would be cool! Really, maybe just whatever side you mite want. We're hoping to do up some stakes for everyone, but we are going to have to see. Plates and other flat ware would be nice.  But I guess it's on the individual. We were thinking the last night origionally, however I'm starting to think maybe the 1st or 2nd night would be best as it'd really suck to have it go bad on us. Again we'll see I suppose. Maybe we can find a way to keep it long enough.   {letseat}

Really though, we just wanted to kinda show our thanks to the crew. I know we're the "new people" and all, and have a lot to catch up with. We just don't want to make it seem like we're just a couple "hang arounds" or something.
