No, they came with and without. When they made the 6.5, it came with the turbo. Banks made an aftermarket kit for the older 6.2s. Here is an old motorweek with it featured...
I spoke with a few guys and they don't think it will make any difference in strain. Keep the boost at a manageable amount and it will be fine. Hell, I just want it for more power/ acceleration anyway. Probably won't make it good enough to tow with anyway, and No, I won't sell it. It's paid for, gets 17-23mpgs and I can haul the kids and all the crap everywhere with it. Do I need a tow pig, yes, but I have no $ for it and no trailer. If I want to tow the jeep, I can use my wifes sub ;D

You should start using her Sub on wheeling weekends and let her drive yours. Even if your using a dolly!!

It is a feeling of freedom. Driving 6 hours in an open top jeep, an adventure! Some will never understand, but to those of us who do... keep rockin! Shoot, coming back from gulches on 85, no doors, just a bikini top, no shoes on hanging 5 out the door and I had people gaulking at me givin me strange looks. All of those people had the windows up and air blastin... not for me.

Yep and something about taking my Jeep down the same trails as others and sometimes walking the obstacle and then airing up with my old, slow compressor and driving home is rewarding.
