You know guys if you or I did our jobs like this bunch in the Whitehouse,Senate or House has done their jobs we'd be hunting a job now. They all have their collective heads in their collective asses. They should all have to participate in the same health care system as we do,have the same retirement and investment choices we do. To serve as a elected official was to be seen as a duty one performed then returned to his or her chosen profession. A service you performed for you fellow citizens. It was not meant to be a lifetime job that you hang on to for the benefits. These guys spend more time doing things to get themselves re elected than they do anything. This current place we find ourselves is a prime example. There is ample blame between both parties and the Whitehouse. We need term limits for house and senate seats,one four year term and change the Presidential term to one six year term. That way you take away all this posturing for re election and they do what they were sent there to do. Damn bunch of idiots we have now

a "congressmen" was NEVER intended to be an occupation. im definitely right winged, and a libertarian, but almost every one of the scumbags in congress (with the excpetion of a few) need to be thrown out. term limits must be put in place, but we all know that no congressmen will vote yes to term limits, because theyd be voting themselves out of a 300k/yr do-nothing job.

The "people" can self impose term limits, but the "people" aren't smart enough to actually do it.  While congress has a terrible approval rating, most people think their congressmen are doing a good job.
