One-year percentages can be very deceptive.  My IRA was up 44% in 2009 but that didn't recover losses from 2007-08.

Anyone who has begun investing since 2008 hasn't lived through a bear market.  The same could be said for those who started in Clinton's 2nd term, until the recession hit in late 2007.

If you're young, time is on your side, but you need to resist the urge to sell out at market bottoms.  Your biggest foe in saving for retirement is high fees.  A low-fee index fund is your friend.

When I sold my first trucking company a few years ago I put a large part of the money in a annuity and the other part I have with a very savy money manager

The Falcons results were exactly what I expected but it's still a big let down.

Carma is a bitch so murderer thug Ray Lewis should lose.

Good week ahead.

Bud from FL picking up a JK 44 geared 5.38 from me today.  Has to get his Rock Krawler, Poison Spyder, Raceline buuld done by Jeep Beach.

Looking for a front JK 44 or 9 or 60 used.

Big ride Saturday.  Should be a great time.

I've got to get to shop this morning and fix my front bumper. Guy in a 2011 GMC diesel pickup had just put these big 44 monster mudder tires and a lift on his new truck decided he'd go for a ride. Goofy got it stuck in some washes and rocks on the trail. I came up and he was just spinning away slinging rocks and dirt everywhere. I pulled him out but in the process of him wanting to rock it back and forth he bent my bumper when it finally got traction........I did snatch him backwards one time kinda hard.....   ;D

No, just been really busy with work.  it happens in big chunks with me.  things are. quite and slow, then "Blam" everyone needs me , all the time.   sorry i have been so absent, kind of depressed
im missing the ride this weekend cause of stupid work, but.  im not rich or retired, so.   i got'ta work.   at this point i have that.  "in the deep end of the pool and kind of tired"  so im trying
to swim back to the shallow end so i can stand up and catch my breath.   I was super stoked to see the ride in march moved back to the 16th.  now i can make it.   woot!  i was going to have
to miss both rides in Feb, but im working on trying to make at least one of them..  we will see.
