That sucks.  just finished filling my rear diff with 80w90 gear oil, filled till it started oozing out the fill plug.  simple.  no metal chunks on the drain plug so that was good news.   bad news, did not get sufficient gear oil to do the front, so.  need to run to the store to get  1.35 quarts or 2.7pints.    this seems easyer than changing the engine oil.   //SLAMIN//

i wonder if i need different oil once i get lockers?  or keep using cheap stuff.  im trying to do this as often as i change my engine oil.  unless i dont wheel any between engine oil changes..  still new to all this maintenance stuff.

Buy the gallon jugs.  Generally diff oil is good for a long time unless you get into mud and water.  No need for anything special with a locker either.
